Paternal God

Lyrics

I don't have time for your paternal god Cos' If he exists he's as sure as hell forgotten That it's always been a good fathers job To protect his children from all that is rotten

He watches from a far while others do harm To the children he's left on this animal farm Where the value of life is measured by a lucky charm And the ones with power can make us take up arms

He lets us fight with his other sons and daughters And steer this world on self-destructive courses Lets those with nothing fight religious wars Whilst those with plenty, reap all of the rewards

So keep your god, who says he will save us all As long as we pray and at his feet we agree to fall And who lets false prophets continue to hurt us all Whilst we like lemmings, jump from the losers wall (jump from the losers wall)

I don't have time for your paternal god Cos' If he exists he's as sure as hell forgotten That it's always been a good fathers job To protect his children from all that is rotten

To protect his children from all that is rotten protect his children from all that is rotten his children are also rotten
